We provide effective programs to empower women in the greater Minot community through emergency shelter, permanent supportive housing, and case management.

YWCA Minot is the only women and children’s homeless shelter in not only Minot, but the 8 surrounding counties. The emergency shelter can serve 21 women and children at any given time, and is frequently full.

Women come to us in times of crisis, as survivors of rape and/or domestic violence. They come for job training and career counseling. They come for childcare. They come for a variety of reasons. But they come. And they leave with a renewed spirit, new skills, and stronger lives.​

There are many factors that set our emergency homeless shelter apart from many others. Our staff truly invests in clients lives. By providing case management, clients are offered every opportunity to work towards building a financially stable, independent and self-sufficient life within the community.
