Since joining Make-A-Wish Central & Northern Florida over three years ago, I've made it my mission to share stories of children who have been diagnosed with life-changing illnesses and the impact their experience made in their lives at just the right time with individuals and business owners.  Many children receive medical treatment over the course of many months followed by recovery- many times separated from family and friends at specialty pediatric hospitals outside of their hometown. A wish is the "spark" that ignites their willingness to accept treatment.

I'm raising funds to help bring joy and hope to children who are receiving medical treatment and are waiting for their magical wish - to travel to a place experiencing an adventure, meeting someone they admire, or simply get a new puppy to cuddle up to and feel the comfort and unconditional love a pet brings.  

I'm honored to be a member of family of caring Make-A-Wish team members who focus on helping children with critical illnesses get their wish. 

The day of the Over the Edge event holds special meaning to me.  I'm facing my fear of heights to Make-A-Wish kids and in memory of my daughter, Debbie, who lost her life from a fatal car accident on February 14, 2018.  

Please join me in contributing to my goal to raise at least $1,500 to rappel a tall downtown Tallahassee building in support of Make-A-Wish kids and in honor of Debbie who is making wishes come true in heaven.  Thank you, Kathleen
