Hello Family and Friends, I have been the president of the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) California Chapter for the past two and half years. Our office is located at the Long Beach VA Health Center in building 150 on the second floor of the Spinal Cord Injury & Disorder (SCI) Center.  I suffered an Aortic Dissection in 2015, six years ago and my whole life changed. I had no idea that God had plans for me in a wheelchair, paralyzed waist down T-12 complete, disabled veteran with a passion to advocate for SCI&D veterans. My wife, caregiver, and mother of our 4 children for the past 45 years is my Rock!!

There is no greater joy to see your fellow SCI&D brother and sister veterans thrive, compete, flourish and overcome adversaries that we face each and everyday. Since I have been disabled I have done more things in a wheelchair than I did as a  before. I have been fishing, sky diving, handcycling, paddle boarding, kayaking, rowing, flew in helicopter, tennis, boccia, table tennis, bowling, rock climbing ,  swimming, air gun, Gun range, archery, softball, and wheelchair basketball. I have been to three National Veterans Wheelchair Games and won gold, silver and bronze medals. PVA has been there for me from the beginning. I'm honored and it is a privileges to be a member (veteran) of the greatest brotherhood  in this country USA!!!
