ABOUT United Way of the Adirondack Region:

United Way of the Adirondack Region, Inc. is a voluntary fund-raising and human service organization that was started in 1949. With offices in Elizabethtown, Malone, and Plattsburgh we serve Clinton, Essex, and Franklin Counties of New York State. United Way and its volunteer Board of Directors has worked to unite a cross-section of volunteers and agencies, both public and private, in a community-wide effort to deliver needed health and human service programs.  One priority for our organization is supporting ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) households in our region.  

The United Way of the Adirondack Region has 34 Partner Agencies throughout our region in addition to local government units that we connect with on a daily basis to provide assistance to those in need.  Forty-one percent of the households in our region are below the ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) threshold.  ALICE households are those with two or three jobs, but still living paycheck to paycheck struggling to make ends meet.  Many ALICE households make difficult decisions every month on whether to pay for rent, buy groceries, or pay for needed medications.  All money raised through our various campaigns and events allows us to partner with agencies and local governments to help households, families and individuals to avert financial crisis.  Every dollar raised stays in our region.

Our event is falling during our areas annual Battle of Plattsburgh: 1814 Commemoration weekend.  We strongly encourage all participants to check out the many activities celebrating our history before or after you Rappel For A Reason.  Details can be found at www.battleofplattsburgh.com. 

To Become an Official Sponsor or Donor:

1. Fearless Sponsor ($5,000) - Receive 4 VIP spots to go Over The Edge and oversized, prominent logo on all promotional materials for the event; including posters, email blasts, flyers, and social media outreach.
2. Rope Sponsor ($2,500) - Receive 2 reserved spots to go Over The Edge and company logo displayed on all promotional materials for the event; including posters, email blasts, flyers, and social media outreach.
3. General Sponsor ($500) - Company name and logo will be displayed on the Over The Edge website and the day of the event on site.
