Growing up my siblings and I were a part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and now my niece participates in the program and it has helped change her life during a time when she needed a positive role model. Big Brothers Big Sisters changes the lives of so many children in our community but also the Bigs who donate their time. I am so proud to partner with this organization and raise funds for their mission through Over the Edge.
Of course, I am equally thrilled to raise funds for the Special Olympics in Muscatine, too! Now as a coach at the YMCA, I am so inspired watching the Special Olympics athletes gather together and train. I believe in this program, its mission, and the athletes and I am so happy that this event will raise money for two inspiring and meaningful organizations in Muscatine.
