I may be known as a crazy dog lady, but I also love reading and writing. After all, it's what I do each day at work as the evening anchor at WEAU 13 News.
Outside of work, one of my favorite things to do is curl up on the couch or sit outside on my deck (when the snow is gone) with a good book. I've loved reading and books for as long as I can remember.
I believe it's important to instill a love of reading at a young age. That's why I'm supporting the Children's Dyslexia Center of Upper Wisconsin.
I can be a bit of a dare devil. I flew with the Blue Angels, which is United States Navy's flight demonstration squadron, in June 2018.
I'm also no stranger to rappelling. My dad was a rappelling instructor in the Iowa National Guard, and he taught me how to rappel when I was a child. I've actually gone rappelling off cliffs. However, that was a long time ago!

About Children's Dyslexia Center of Upper Wisconsin
We are the Children’s Dyslexia Center of Upper Wisconsin located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin but serve children in the entire greater Chippewa Valley from as far as 2 hours away. Dyslexia, which is a language-based learning disability, affects as many as 1 in 5 people – many of whom are of average or above average intelligence and excel dramatically when given the resources to do so.
The Children’s Dyslexia Center of Upper Wisconsin is a locally funded, non-profit organization that provides multisensory, direct-instruction services to children 18 years and younger who struggle with the challenges of dyslexia at no cost to the families.
In addition to providing free tutoring, our Center provides free training in the Structured Language/Orton-Gillingham method of instruction on a regular basis to individuals interested in helping children succeed.
