Human trafficking is the second largest criminal industry in the world today, with more than 40,000,000 victims – a number that continues to grow every second. For the victims of human trafficking, our mission is to threefold:
1) EMPOWER survivors of trafficking by providing a safe environment for their spiritual, physical, and emotional well-being. By equipping them with the necessary services, support, guidance and love, we can help them transform from victims into survivors that are fully restored and thriving!
2) EDUCATE the community regarding the realities of human sex trafficking, specifically in the United States. Through awareness, we can empower individuals not only how to recognize the signs of human trafficking within their own communities, but also how best to respond when they encounter it. We strive to arm individuals, families and organizations with the necessary knowledge and tools to detect, prevent and protect their communities from human trafficking.

MORE ABOUT US: Lighthouse for Life was established as a faith-based 501(c)(3) in 2014 as an organization committed to fighting and preventing human trafficking in South Carolina. South Carolinians are selling South Carolinians to South Carolinians by the hundreds! Someone must fight to empower survivors and educate the community to eradicate human trafficking. The name "Lighthouse for Life" is derived from a vision from the founder of a lighthouse shining light into the darkness and showing the way for survivors of human trafficking to find shelter in homes at its base. Therefore, Lighthouse for Life provides safe and secure shelter for minors rescued from trafficking.
After receiving countless requests connected with adult survivors of human trafficking, Lighthouse for Life opened its non-residential Survivor Support program in 2021. The Survivor Support program assists with the direct needs of adult female survivors at no cost to them. This program will continue to expand as it walks alongside survivors to support them in their journey from victim to being fully restored and thriving!
