      About Sparc

      Sparc was founded in 1951 by a group of parents whose children had disabilities. Today we have grown to an organization supporting more than 300 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  The individuals supported by Sparc provide daily inspiration to each of us.  They lift our souls, remind us about life being fair and life being unfair.  We are reminded to look out after those whose challenges may be greater than our own.  The folks we support continually remind us that hard work, being productive and giving back to society are traits that are respected and admired - and that each and every one of us has something to contribute to society.
