Over the Edge is the world’s leader in urban
rappelling and has helped raise over $150 million for nonprofits and
charities worldwide. We’re thrilled that our long-time partner,
United Way, is bringing this exciting and unique opportunity to our community!
To send Easterseals over the edge,
we need to raise at least $1,080,
and we’d love your help. Your donation will
directly support Easterseals’ life-changing programs in Maryland,
like our Children’s Therapy Services and Camp Fairlee.

Scarlett is making big strides towards her milestones with Easterseals Children's Therapy Services and Jamal enjoys endless hours in the pool at Easterseals Camp Fairlee.
Easterseals Delaware and Maryland's Eastern Shore has two locations in Maryland:

Children's Therapy Services are provided
at our location in Salisbury. Children diagnosed with
developmental delays or a medical condition receive individualized
treatment from a team of professionals, including: Physical
Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language
Pathologists. Find out more HERE.

Camp Fairlee, located in
Chestertown, is a residential camp that offers recreation
experiences for children and adults with disabilities ages six and
older, giving caregivers a break. Age-appropriate activities
promoting independence and self-confidence are provided. Week-long
sessions and year-round weekend respite programs are offered.
Nurses provide medication management. Scholarship assistance is
available for those who qualify. Sessions with one-to-one support

Why did we Go Over The Edge For ALICE?
We all know ALICE®. More than 2 in 5 local households are ALICE® (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed). Our ALICE® neighbors work hard but still struggle to meet basic needs. ALICE® lives paycheck to paycheck, making tough choices each month between safe housing, food, childcare, medicine and other essentials. Just one emergency can cause a financial tailspin (injured and out of work? childcare closes? car breaks down?). ALICE® is in nearly every workplace, classroom and neighborhood. UWLES and our partners work every day to help ALICE® and all neighbors access resources to help them move from barely surviving to thriving. ALICE® lives on the edge, so we’re going Over the Edge for ALICE®! |

United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore (UWLES), now in its 80th year of local service, harnesses the power of our community to advance health, education, and financial security for all neighbors in Dorchester, Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester counties. UWLES and their community partners help empower Lower Shore residents by addressing barriers to better health, supporting educational success for learners of all ages, and strengthening economic security for local households.
UWLES provides direct services, collaborates with stakeholders, and supports dozens of local nonprofits to strengthen the entire community, impacting more than 1 in every 3 neighbors annually. UWLES’ Get Connected Volunteer Center connects over 200 nonprofits with community members who want to get involved.
