When I competed on  Squid Game: The Challenge, I rediscovered how fierce and determined I could be. But let me rewind: the reason I KNEW that fierceness was still inside me somewhere was because it was first ignited when had the opportunity to play sports as a little girl. I knew I could do hard things because of what sports taught me -- how to work toward goals and be a good teammate.

Had I won Squid Game, I would have loved to establish a program or scholarship to help girls from all backgrounds discover the joy and rewards of team sports. The Women's Sports Foundation has been doing this work for 50 YEARS! This foundation, along with the inception of Title IX, is part of the reason I was able to attend college on full scholarship to play basketball. It changed my life, my sister's and daughters' lives, too! 

I give back to my community as a coach in our youth basketball league. I firmly believe, if more girls -- no matter their skill level -- get in the game, more girls will grow up to be women who lead and make a difference in this world!
